That 70’s Show

Paris will always be my favorite but the french countryside has a special spot in my heart. Needless to say, Tyson and I are currently taking a weekend trip to Normandie and exploring the beaches, farms and historical sites. After a train ride to Rouen (I had to see where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake!) Β and a frustrating hour at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, we were finally on our way to Normandie. Although we were not driving the compact convertable we were promised, the ride was still enjoyable in a CitroΓ«n Stationwagon meant for a family of five (Im not bitter I swear πŸ˜‹). We stopped by Honfleur (my favorite) and Deauville-Trouville on the way to our bed and breakfast and enjoyed a delicious lunch of moules frites. πŸ˜€ The bed and breakfast we are staying at is very charming and owned by a guy who paints paintings of bare butts on the beach and rides motorcycles. Our cottage is straight out of the 70’s with its deco patterned bedspread and record player on the shelf. I feel out of my element (and decade) but Im totally lovin’ it.Β  We have already completed day one of our trip with visits to Omaha beach, the American cemetery for those who fought in the second world war and exploring barracks. Tomorrow calls for Mont St. Michel, Bayeux and abandoned castles. 😊  Heres to three days of peace, love and cider!Β  Insert photo spam:
